Good-bye Days...

argh!!!
today was another great day!!!

DAnzon workshop day 1!
its like this really cute yet rather 'sei' dance!
dancing to mexican wind instruments!
n its diff from other dances coz it has progression!
like lets say this entire routine is danced to a slow beat,
den e beat keeps on going faster n faster!
den like,

'WOOTZ!
OH YEAH!!! We're actually dancing!'-kind of mood

den like aft e dance went to ate at Cant 3 with tat not-tat-bad chicken rice!!!
den we had Daphnie n Page join us today!
n like Daphnie totally ruled e day with all e lame racist jokes!
n like, i cant believe tat no one believed tat i was a biker!!!
i mean like, not even with my half-mat face?!
n here comes e ultimate reply, "U have e non-biker-half-mat face!"

oh well,
den aft tat i burnt lotsa rubber n fuel to rush to ECP like from e other side of S'pore to meet Shirlyn!!!
squeezed thru e jam at 120km/h as always.
bo bian, im in a rush!!!

den we cycled n chat along e paths.
stopped at a corner of e park.
some really ulu corner on e way to changi beach park.
n we jus sat/squatted there n chit chatted.
listened to songs.
recalled e old old times!
n like we had this crazy idea to jus shout out to e horizon of that blue green sea!
jus wanna scream out!!!!
hahaha!
den we cycled to e other end of e park, chatting along e way as usual.
n yeah, time jus went on too fast.
soon it tured really dark.
but tat didnt stop us.
in fact,
it was a scenery i hadnt seen for a couple of months!

well, den Carl's jr awaited us for dinner!!!!
at 1st wanted to go changi airport to eat tat famous Ban Mian at T1.
but yeah, something new for her for a change.
shared a double western bacon cheeseburger!
oh n dun forget tat beef chilli cheese fries!
AWESOME!

den we went to e airport to send my cousin off.
oh wells,
he's jus going to australia for 3 weeks to meet up with his gf during his break.
n like there were complications jus 1 hr b4 he had to board e plane!
it was a totally panic situation!

he didnt noe he had to apply for visa!
n like e counter was closing in close to 10mins time!
so we had to rush to e nearest empty computer we could find at e cafe 2mins away!
den went online to apply n PHEW!
all was ok!

n next, aft he went thru tat departure gate,
we suddenly remembered whether he did apply for an exit permit online!!
*GASP*
another panic situation.
fortunately, we have Soon Hock e veteran!
haha,
he helped him to apply for it without Jer's presence!
thank God he was there!

n like when i was home,
i found many old pics in my long lost 2MP cam!(can u believe it? my hp is oso 2 MP!!!)
added them to facebook since adding it here was uber tedious.

anw, i jus gotten hold of YUI's 2nd latest album: I Loved Yesterday

n like aft watching thru e MTV of "Goodbye Days"
it totally makes me feel like watching Taiyou No Uta [A song to the Sun (literal translation)]/(Midnight Sun)
all over again.

its a really sad story bout this girl who cant come out of e dark n into e sun due to her perculiar degenerative disease tat will inflict her when in contact with e sunlight n its rays.
so all her life she has been sleeping in day time, waking up only at night when e world is asleep.
there, she pursues her passion for singing by performing on e streets at night with jus her guitar and her candle.

n jus b4 e dawn breaks,
she always peeks out her window to peep at tat guy she always sees from her window.
with tat ever irritating bus stop sign always blocking her view.

one fateful nite, out in the streets.
she confessed out of e blue by pouncing on him from behind n blurting out all her likes n dislikes even b4 he could get to say a word,
therefore naturally scaring away tat guy.

but den as time flew by,
she relied on her 'normal' younger sister who studies at e same sch to do 'research' on him.
to see how his life was like in e daytime.
n from there on,
they met each other again n e boy decides to bring her out to another town during midnight.
she saw e nightlife,
she saw the sights tat she could nvr see.
n thats where she realized tat life was much more den jus her window.

but den, as e hours passed,
it was daybreak in a few moment's time.
she had to rush home.
she couldnt b with tat guy anymore.
she needed e darkness.
the darkness, away from the sun.
running as hard as she could,
she barely made it thru to her house,
but unfortunately, was still exposed to e sun.

the degradation then accelerated.
she knew she couldnt hav a life with him.
she was dying, n fast.

frm there on, she chases the boy away, looking happy at e same time.
he walks away first with a smile,
den with tears in his eyes...



however, he made her dreams come true by hooking up with a music recording studio for her to record her song.
her life-song.

e 2nd last scene:
e entire family with him at e beach in day time.
with her in tat total-sunlight-blocking astronaut-looking suit.
(u wun need sunblock at all with this!)
him: having fun in e waters.
her: sitting on a wheelchair in a suit.
she stands up all wobbly,
n slowly takes steps towards him who stands in e waters.
n it slowly trancedes to e last scene

her funeral.

the radio plays her song,
it making to e 'no 1' in all Japan.
~music plays~
the family hears it in e home.
He hears it in his cd player...

"Goodbye...", tats e word tat comes to my mind.

sad sad story,
but my fav ever Jap movie.
its like,
totally diff from a normal movie,
somehow,
u can totally understand meanings from scenes with no words.
but only pictures of sceneries.
these scenes invoke countless feelings in ur head.
like wat they say, "A picture paints a thousand words."
which can also b heard by e song, "You say it best, when you say nothing at all."
magnificent piece of 'artwork', it truly is.

hope a provided a gd-enough summary of e movie from my memory.
